Terms of Service

Effective June 30, 2026. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ReportForge. By using the service, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

Counsel review required before public beta. This is a generic baseline draft tuned to ReportForge, provided for transparency during the invite-only beta. It is NOT legal advice and has NOT been reviewed by an attorney. The final, binding version will be reviewed and approved by qualified counsel before ReportForge opens to the public.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using ReportForge, or by clicking to accept these Terms, you agree to be bound by them. If you are using ReportForge on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and "you" refers to that organization.

2. The Service

ReportForge is a software service that takes data you upload, preprocesses it, and generates formatted reports with narrative. The service is provided on a subscription basis and is currently offered as an invite-only beta, which means features may change and availability is not guaranteed.

3. Accounts & Eligibility

You must provide accurate account information and keep it current. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use ReportForge. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

4. Trial, Subscriptions & Billing

ReportForge offers a free trial of 10 AI Credits with full access to all report types. The trial covers one analysis covering one period, has no time limit, and requires no payment card. Running more analyses requires a paid plan. The trial is a one-time allowance for each account; there is no ongoing free tier.

Paid plans (Single Report and All Reports) are billed in advance on a recurring basis at the then-current rates and renew automatically until cancelled. Plans carry usage limits as described at sign-up. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

5. Refunds

Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and we do not provide refunds or credits for partial billing periods or unused capacity. If you believe you were billed in error, contact us and we will review the matter in good faith.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the service. You will not upload content you lack the right to use; infringe others’ intellectual-property or privacy rights; upload unlawful, harmful, or malicious content; attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service; use it to build a competing product; or exceed or circumvent plan limits. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section.

7. Your Data & Content

You own the data you upload and the reports ReportForge generates for you. We claim no ownership of your Content.

You grant ReportForge a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display your Content solely to provide and improve the service for you, including sending relevant portions to our AI sub-processor to generate output. This license ends when you delete the Content or close your account, except for backups retained for a limited period and de-identified data used to operate the service. Content you delete is permanently purged after 30 days. Closing your account archives its reports and analyses, and the same 30 days then apply; free-trial accounts with no activity for 90 days are closed automatically.

8. Our Intellectual Property

ReportForge, including its software, design, templates, report formats, and brand, is owned by us and protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service; they do not transfer any ownership of the platform to you.

9. AI-Generated Output

ReportForge uses automated and AI systems to assemble reports. While numeric figures are computed by our preprocessor and the service is designed to flag insufficient data rather than fabricate it, generated narrative may still contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. You are responsible for reviewing every report before relying on it or distributing it, and ReportForge is not a substitute for professional, financial, legal, or accounting advice.

10. Agency & Client Accounts

If you use the Agency plan or otherwise use ReportForge to produce reports for your own clients, you are responsible for your clients’ data and for having the rights and permissions necessary to upload and process it. You remain responsible for compliance with these Terms across all client work performed through your account.

11. Confidentiality

We treat your Content as confidential and use it only as described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy. We will not disclose your Content except to our sub-processors as needed to provide the service, or as required by law.

12. Disclaimers of Warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that output will be accurate or complete.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ReportForge will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim.

14. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold ReportForge harmless from claims, damages, and expenses arising out of your Content, your use of the service, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

15. Termination

You may stop using the service and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the service. On termination, your right to use the service ends; sections that by their nature should survive (such as data ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which ReportForge is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. The specific governing law and venue will be confirmed in the counsel-reviewed version of these Terms.
